The Afterlife

Every religion teaches one about the afterlife. No human really knows what happens after death.
However, religious believers have used faith, prayer and spiritual texts to give them an idea of what
happens after death. In islam there spiritual text is the Koran. The Koran has two things regarding the
afterlife."Warriors who die fighting in the cause of God are usheredimmediately to God's presence (2:159 and 3:169)
and "Enemies of Islam" are sentenced immediately to Hell upon death." In judaism there sacred text is the
Tanakh or Torah

After life in islam:

When a muslim dies , he/she is washed and wrapped in a white cloth which is called
the Kafan and they are buried after a special. Unlike being buried as a christian muslim's get put in a box rather than a coffin.
The main doctrine of the Koran is the last day or the day judgement , in which Allah will raise people and jinn
from the dead to be judge. One's eternal destination depends on if they were good or bad in they're life. Follow the rules
in which you should live by the Koran states"Warriors who die fighting in the cause of God are ushered
immediately to God's presence (2:159 and 3:169) & "Enemies of Islam" are sentenced immediately to Hell upon death.
The Koran is basically saying if you believe in allah you will go to heaven and if others who don't
believe in him will go to hell. The koran states what god does with you body when you are dead and gone.
"17:100: "Could they not see that God who created the heavens and the earth is able to create the like of them"?

Afterlife in Judaism
When a jew dies he/she eyes are closed , the body is laid on the floor and is covered with a cloth
just as they do with muslims. They also light candles next to the body. In Judaism one's eternal destination
is also determined if you were good or bad in your life. There are three groups on judgment day
the first group is inscribed for everlasting life, the second group will go to hell. the torah says "And many of them that sleep in the dust of the
earth shall awake, some to everlasting life and some to reproaches and everlasting abhorrence" [Daniel 12:2] The third will go down to Gehinnom
and squeal and rise again ,""And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined,
and will try them as gold is tried. They shall call on My name and I will answer them" [Zechariah 13:9].Unlike Islam there place of peace and joy (heaven) is
called the "Garden of eden". The Tanakh says that "In the world to come, there is nothing corporeal, and no material substance;
there are only souls of the righteous without bodies --like the ministering angels... The righteous attain to a knowledge and
realization of truth concerning God to which they had not attained while they were in the murky and lowly body.(Mishneh Torah, Repentance 8)

Both religions are common , you would never think of religions actually sharing something in common.
Even though both are totally different they both have the after life in common. In both Judaism and Islam
they both believe that there is a hell and a heaven and you have to be good or bad to get into them. What they
also share is how one is cleansed. For example in my religion (chrisanity) we go to the morge get cleaned up , dressed
and placed into a coffin and buried were as in Islam and Judaism you don't go to the morgue your family members
clean up up and they wrap you in a sheet and is put into a box. I never knew that religions so different can actually
have something in common. I bet you didn't either.
